Of course one of the best parts about coming to stay at Apples Bed and Breakfast is playing around in Big Bear! You may already know exactly where on the mountain is your favorite run or where the best fishing hole is on the lake, but in case you don't, here are some real quick ideas about what is going on in Big Bear.
Bear Mountain Resort The park was built by riders for riders who want a generous space for freestyle riding at one of the most innovative terrain parks in the country. Consisting of over 198 acres, The park delivers 150 jumps, more than 80 jibs, Southern California's only Superpipe and a standard halfpipe. The park has 12 mountain lifts spread over four mountain peaks.
Big Bear Mountain Resorts The resort is committed to providing year-round entertainment. During the summer months, the mountain trails are open to hikers and bikers. They also have a driving range and a nine-hole golf course at 7,000 feet. There is a ski lift that is used as a scenic 15 minute ride during the summer.
Big Bear Lake Fishing Of course, a favorite year-round activity here in Big Bear is fishing. You can bring your own equipment, rent a boat from the Big Bear Marina (whom also rent jet skis) or charter a guide and his service. One such charter company is Fish Big Bear. The lake is an excellent source of trout, catfish and a great location for anglers.
